Cheeseburger Pizza

Cheeseburger Pizza

Makes 1 large pizza or 2 medium round pizzas

1 Pizza crust, homemade or bought

1/4 cup pizza sauce

1/4 cup ketchup

8 ounces shredded colby jack cheese (can also use cheddar or even american slices cut into strips)

1 tomato, diced and drained of as much juice as possible

1/3 cup pickle relish or pickles minced and drained of as much liquid as possible

(NOTE: draining the tomato and pickle will keep your pizza from being soggy so drain then WELL!)

1 lb ground beef browned and seasoned with salt and pepper

1 onion diced

8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional, not pictured above)

Ketchup for drizzling

Directions:

1) Drizzle olive oil lightly on pizza pan or cookie sheet

2) spread out pizza dough till the edges are touching the edge of the pan and saying put

3) Mix 1/4 c. pizza sauce and 1/4 c ketchup and spread evenly over the pizza dough

4) Sprinkle half of the cheese over the pizza

5) Spread the cooked ground beef over the cheese

6) Spread the mushrooms over pizza

7) Spread the tomatoes and pickle over the pizza

8) Sprinkle the 2nd half of the cheese over all the ingredients

9) Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes or follow instructions on the package of the boughten crust. Check the underside of the crust and when it is browned all the way to the center it should be done.

Slice pizza and drizzle with ketchup and/or mustard ENJOY!
